Terence ThompsonWe have had our 31 solar panel system for slightly less than 2 year. We have generated 30.6 MKW so far. Lumina has been great to work with and offer stellar service and solar products. We have enjoyed great savings on our electric bill and are paying the minimum line charge for 7 months out of the year. Our sales agent was Jack Wood and we loved working with him. He was patient in explaining all the details for the solar system for our house. We plan on going back to Lumina in a couple of. years to buy a battery for our solar panels.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Terence Thompson
Dave CoultWe have had an excellent experience with Lumina Solar PA and highly recommend going solar. All the workers and staff are professional and great to work with. The Tesla and Enlighten apps are easy to use. It’s great to have power when the grid goes down plus the tax break was amazing!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Dave Coult
Christopher KinneyVery thorough on explaining and helping any questions I had. Very easy to deal with. Superior response time on taking my calls The team that installed my system were excellent, professional and meticulous. Loretta KillianLumina Solar is a great choice and amazing company. We had checked out several solar companies over the years but many were fly-by-night, here today, gone tomorrow companies. I read good things about Lumina and called them. My husband was rather skeptical at first but was sick of our now $250--300 electric bills. Our Lumina rep Chris Richardson explained everything in layman's terms with graphs and 3D satellite pix of our property. The financial aspects were all laid out upfront so no surprises. All permits and legwork were done by Lumina. All workers were well groomed, polite and professional. We've had questions from time to time and our rep is always available. We think going with Lumina Solar is one of our best decisions ever!!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Loretta Killian
Wanda MenaRyan Cook and the Lumina Solar team were unmeasurably the best, in regards to their professionalism, knowledge, and execution of the installation of my solar panels. For someone who’s knowledge of solar panels and everything associated with it was at a bare minimum, by the time Ryan was done with his walk-through and proposal presentation, I was able to articulate the process to a few of my friends who were also interested, but didn’t understand the concept. I have made sure to inform them that if and when they’re ready to invest, their best bet will be Lumina Solar, with Ryan Cook at the lead. Thanks again Ryan!!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Wanda Mena
Rodney NesmithWe investigated multiple solar providers. Lumina seemed like the best choice: knowledgeable staff, good value, designs that fit our needs. Now that our installation is done, we are extremely happy with it. The design was perfect for our home. And the construction was very well done. The Lumina staff were highly skilled, conscientious and courteous. They were done in two days, and the workmanship is excellent. Now, we enjoy using the Enlighten app to see how much electricity we are making. Not only does the app tell us how much electricity we are producing, we've found it useful in understanding and managing our electrical demand! We have several friends that are interested in solar energy, and we are encouraging them to consider Lumina. We are extremely happy with their work, and we think they would be too! December 2023 Update: We are now in our 7th consecutive month without having to buy a single KW of electricity from the grid! Also, two of our friends have used Lumina for their installations, and they've had the same experience. Excellent/knowledgeable sales staff, high quality installations, LOVE the Enlighten app for monitoring power production/use, and happy with the output from their systems!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Rodney Nesmith
Wesley SatterwhiteI don’t even know where to begin. The last time I had such attentive customer service, I was flying first class on Emirates to Dubai! Lumina Solar really knows how to take care of their customers. From there very beginning, my project manager Steve Coffman, has been there. He answered any all questions and explained the process from start to finish. A separate contractor came to but a new roof on my house before I had my panels installed and they pulled some of the electric lines down near my home; Steven came over weekend and personally fixed it. One of my trees was blocking some of the panels after installation; the VP paid to have it removed. It’s very rare these days to have such attentive and personalized service l. If you are even thinking about a solar company, this is THE one.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Wesley Satterwhite
Ron SchnackeWe had a five-star experience with Lumina Solar. Peter Hayes kept us informed throughout the entire process from contract signing to even after installation. If you are considering solar, Lumina Solar is only company I would recommend.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Ron Schnacke
Chris StoltzfusWhen I was looking to go solar I had done a few quotes and designs with different companies. Lumina came in with not only the best pricing for the work, but the best design plan for the area as well. Jack knew his stuff and had a base design already done that showed estimates based on previous sun data and satellite pictures. We were able to determine taking out some trees could improve performance and which ones could stay. We had to do some back and forth with the electric company to get started which was the biggest hassle. There was a lack of communication from electric on getting us approvals and information if the system we planned was allowed. After 5 months they told us it wasn't and that we would need to pay to have a upgraded transformer installed. They then took another month to tell us a price before we said no and we down sized to what was allowed based on the current grid. By far this was the biggest headache but was in no part Lumina Solar's fault. Once we knew what we were allowed we went back and designed a system that would work. Permits and paperwork went pretty quickly after we got electric company to sign off. Due to the weather there was a little delay in getting install started but the team that came out did fantastic work. The hardest challenge for the installers was dealing with my old house's thick walls, (18inches plus a little empty space before another wall) but after determining what was needed they came back and managed to get the hole drilled. They were able to answer any questions I had along the way for the project and provided insight into other questions I had as well. On the roof install side of things, things went smoothly. A couple of the snow guards got broken but they ordered in new ones and replaced them without a hassle. The full Lumina team worked very well together and were always professional. I have recommended them to others and would do so again. Can't wait to see just how well the system works.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Chris Stoltzfus
Rebecca PhelanThis has been a great experience, and we highly recommend Lumina Solar and Matt Dier. We found out about the program through our township’s environmental advisory committee, and the whole process went quite smoothly, with very little disruption, and absolutely no mess on the part of the crew. Everyone involved has been amazing!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Rebecca Phelan
  • Regularly inspect installing hardware-- tighten anything that feels loose.
  • Expect staining or warping on panels, signs of covert damage.
  • Keep an eye on inverter performance metrics; abrupt drops frequently mean underlying problems.
